Robert J. Morris
Robert J. Morris has lived in North and South Carolina and
Texas, as well as in Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
He received his B.A. and M.A. Degrees from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Ph. D. From the University of
Kentucky in 1968.
After teaching Linguistics as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer
at the University of La Libertad in Trujillo, Peru (1963-1965), he was a
professor of Latin American literature at the University (1968-1971), Texas
Tech University (1971-1991), and Lander University (1991-2005), from which
he retired as Professor Emeritus.
His principal areas of research and publication are
contemporary Latin America theater, Yucatecan Maya literature, and the works
of Joaquín Bestard Vázquez.
He currently lives in South Carolina and Chicxulub Puerto,
Yucatán. Robert J. Morris ha vivido en las dos
Carolinas, del Norte y del Sur, en Texas, y en Quintana Roo y Yucatán.
Terminó tanto la licenciatura como la maestría en The University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill y el doctorado en The University of Kentucky en
